\u201cThese are skills that people going into the outdoor industry are going to need. This is the type of project that they would be involved in and they need to be able to use tools. They\u2019re not going to get a job if they don\u2019t know how to handle a drill,\u201d Bailey says.<\/p>\n
Though student Jay Hennebaul calls himself \u201coutdoorsy,\u201d he\u2019d never built a treehouse before enrolling in Bailey\u2019s class. After doing research that involved watching a lot of videos on YouTube and creating a design that didn\u2019t work the first time, he\u2019s determined to finish the project.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been interesting and I\u2019ve enjoyed it. It\u2019s been a lot of fun taking this class,\u201d he said. \u201cNow, I\u2019m invested in it. This treehouse is my baby.
