Kevin Beavers, from left, dedicate a plaque for the university&#8217;s ROTC alumni.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A plaque to honor ROTC alumni from UTC was recently placed at Chamberlain Field, symbolizing the start\u00a0 the commissioning U.S. Army officers at the university.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChamberlain Field was more than just a football field; it was a parade field, a place to conduct military movement and tactics. It housed our dorms, our armory and our Cadre offices.\u00a0It was where heroes were awarded and legends were made,\u201d says Capt.
