The four-year program is designed to help Tyner students prepare for a teaching career. A total of 50 Tyner students will be enrolled.<\/p>\n<p>Students who complete the Teaching &amp; Learning Institute, meet UTC admissions requirements and enroll at the university will receive credit for the \u201cFoundation of Education\u201d course required for all education majors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUTC\u2019s School of Education is excited to be a part of the work to recruit and prepare future teachers from Hamilton County to return back to their community to become the future teachers,\u201d says Renee Murley, director of the School of Education. \u201cWe believe this partnership will benefit Tyner Academy Teaching and Learning students, the School of Education and Hamilton County.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the two paired for a similar institute during the 2017-18 school year, UTC and Hamilton County schools have signed an official agreement for an ongoing partnership.
