April is\u00a0Autism Acceptance Month<\/a>!<\/b><\/p>\n

Join Mosaic for events recognizing this month all week! Monday, April 8th between 11am and 3pm in the UC Game Room, t<\/b>hey will be providing education about how the symbol of the puzzle piece has been reclaimed as a positive representation of the many strengths individuals bring to this campus and larger community. Plus, there will be games!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Take a look at some of <\/strong>Mosaic’s other events coming up this week:<\/strong><\/p>\n

April 9; 11am-3pm<\/b>:\u00a0Color the World Autism- students will have the opportunity to add to the creation of a banner for Autism Acceptance Month. This will be located in the UC Tabling Area<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

April 10; 7-9pm<\/b>:\u00a0Movie (Life, Animated)<\/i>\u00a0and a panel of students with Autism\u00a0who will be sharing their experiences and answering questions.\u00a0 The event will be held in Library Room 440<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

April 15;\u00a0 12-4pm<\/b>: Mellow Monday in the Chickamauga Room of the UC. A sensory-friendly event to educate about the benefits of sensory spaces on campus.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

April 17; 12-2pm<\/b>:\u00a0ASD Workshop: Autism Confidence University\u00a0in the Ocoee Room. A workshop to provide information about Autism and how to be an effective ally on campus and in the larger community.<\/p>\n
