Joel\u00a0Wells has been named as the new registrar for UTC and will take the post on July 22.<\/p>\n
Wells takes the position held by Sandy Zitkus, who retired from UTC after 42 years in the Records Office.<\/p>\n
The registrar is in charge of a university\u2019s Records Office, which maintains student academic records and handles student registration operations.<\/p>\n
Wells\u00a0most recently served as registrar at Sewanee: The University of the South. He also has worked as registrar at\u00a0North Central College in Illinois and as\u00a0associate registrar at both Sewanee and Covenant College.<\/p>\n
He has a bachelor of arts from Covenant College and master\u2019s of art from Wheaton College in intercultural studies.<\/p>\n
