If you don\u2019t believe that the concepts used in the world of manufacturing to improve efficiency can apply to the world of education, Madison Chan politely disagrees.<\/p>\n

\u201cEducation stands out as an area where efficient resource usage is key and this makes it an excellent candidate for process improvement and problem-solving methodologies,\u201d says Chan, an engineering management major and one of the directors of the workshop.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, she and advisor Aldo McLean, assistant professor in engineering management and technology, are inviting teachers and administrators from across Hamilton County to attend their Problem-Solving workshop,\u00a0the first of three workshops on the same subjects.<\/div>\n

Held in the Engineering, Math and Computer Science building, the free, three-hour workshop is designed to \u201cget to the root of the problem, brainstorm solutions and institute a fix that will last.\u201d<\/div>\n
