Will Sutton says the inflatable sculpture that he and other students made as a class project is supposed to “convey my experience at UTC.”<\/p>\n

Apparently his experience at UTC feels like a huge, bulbous, white ball with arms.<\/p>\n

Their project, made for a Professor Ted Ross’ Sculpture 1 class, was on display this morning on Chamberlain Field then carried\/rolled across the field to end up against the UTC Library. Made totally from recyclable materials, it was only inflated for a few minutes before its exhibition was over.<\/p>\n

Sutton came up with the idea for the sculpture, saying, “I was thinking about space using plastic as an inflatable to define form and think about the space around us.”<\/p>\n

He was project manager for its creation but every member of the class contributed to it, he says.<\/p>\n
