Terry Denniston<\/p><\/div>\n

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga\u2019s Debbie Ingram and Terry Denniston are among the 2019 All-Southern Conference team of distinguished faculty and staff from the conference\u2019s 10 member universities.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Ingram is a founding faculty member of the UTC physical therapy department and has a 30-year history with the University. She has served her profession as vice president of the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy, chairman of the Tennessee Board of Occupational and Physical Therapy Examiners and as chairman of the American Physical Therapy Association Clinical Education. In 2013, she was named a Catherine Worthingham Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association, the organization\u2019s highest honor. She is a recipient of the Tennessee Physical Therapy Association\u2019s Horizon Award and a member of that organization\u2019s hall of fame.<\/p>\n

She has volunteered her time and service to the UT system as a current member of the board of directors of its Alliance of Women Philanthropists; and as a former president of the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association, representing the more than 335,000 alumni of all universities within the system.<\/p>\n

Ingram has been the Mocs\u2019 faculty athletics representative to the NCAA since 2012 and was a member of the NCAA Sportsmanship and Ethical Conduct Committee from 2015 to 2017.<\/p>\n

Denniston, chief of staff for UTC Chancellor Steve Angle and former director of alumni affairs, has been with the University for 33 years. A member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE, Denniston has been a CASE faculty member, chaired CASE District III\u2019s annual conference and given numerous conference presentations on student alumni associations. Denniston also authored a chapter in the CASE book, Student Advancement Programs: Shaping Tomorrow\u2019s Alumni Leaders Today.<\/p>\n

Denniston is a member of the International Protocol Officers Association, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, the UTC Alpha Society, Order of Omega, Golden Key Honor Society, UTC Mocs Club and the Chattanooga Quarterback Club.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>All recipients of the honorary designation share in demonstrating service to their institutions and contributions to campus life and community, according to Southern Conference officials. Faculty honorees have demonstrated strong contributions to teaching and research or service, while staff honorees are recognized for bringing out the best in others and creating conditions for success, conference officials said.<\/p>\n
