Congratulations to Michelle Bailey, UTC alumna, named a 2020 Teacher of the Year for Hamilton County Schools.<\/p>\n

Bailey teaches kindergarten and first-grade students in a multi-age classroom at Thrasher Elementary. She also is a piano teacher for children with special learning, a LEGO coach and camp coordinator, LEGO facilitator for the Chambliss Children’s Home fundraiser and a McConnel Elementary STEM night LEGO coach.<\/p>\n

Bailey, along with David Jackson and Emily McDonald were surprised this morning in their classroom by Superintendent Bryan Johnson. All three educators will now advance to the state level for Tennessee Teacher of the Year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
