Katherine Bolton<\/p><\/div>\n

After finishing collegiate careers at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga that included academic and athletic scholarships, dedicated service on the Student Government Association and leadership roles both on campus and off, three students have added some of UTC\u2019s most prestigious student honors to their accomplishments.<\/p>\n

For 2020, UTC Chancellor Steve Angle presented Stan Settles, David Jean-Baptiste and Katherine Bolton with the Chancellor\u2019s Award, the Blue Award and the Gold Award, respectively. The awards are given by the chancellor and the UTC Executive Leadership Team.<\/p>\n

The Chancellor’s Award is presented to a student for exceptional leadership, service to and dedication to the university and academic excellence.<\/p>\n

The Blue Award and the Gold Awards are presented to students who have displayed excellence in academics and involvement, service and dedication to the university.<\/p>\n

A senior in engineering management, Settles served as president of UTC Student Government Association and was a member of the Chancellor\u2019s Roundtable and Multicultural Advisory Council. Off-campus, he worked as an intern for Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee.<\/p>\n

David Jean-Baptiste, a senior in sports management, played guard on the UTC men\u2019s basketball team and was the recipient of the Dean and Mary Jane Heavener Basketball Scholarship. A member of Omega Psi Phi, he also served on the UTC Student Government Association.<\/p>\n

A junior in political science with a concentration in international and comparative studies and a minor in history, Bolton is vice president of UTC Student Government Association and served as a Chancellor\u2019s ambassador. As a freshman, she also was a recipient of the Tennessee HOPE scholarship.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
