See the bulleted list below.<\/p>\n<p>This week, vaccinations will be given in front of the University Health Services building from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, and Friday, Oct. 16.<\/p>\n<p>Next week on Monday, Oct. 19, through Wednesday, Oct. 21, and Friday, Oct. 23, vaccinations will be given at the same place and in the same timeframe.<\/p>\n<p>The vaccinations are available to students, faculty and staff, but you must show a valid UTC ID.<\/p>\n<p>If the case of inclement weather, vaccinations will be given at the Vine Street entrance to Maclellan Gym.<\/p>\n<p>The vaccine can be given to non-pregnant people ages 18 through 49. You cannot take it if you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have had an allergic reaction after a previous dose of influenza vaccine or have any\u00a0severe, life-threatening allergies<\/li>\n<li>Have a\u00a0weakened immune system<\/li>\n<li>Have taken influenza antiviral medication in the previous 48 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Care for severely immunocompromised persons who require a protected environment<\/li>\n<li>Have asthma<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You will be asked about all of these before you are given the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/utc.edu\/university-health-services\">http:\/\/utc.edu\/university-health-services.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Reminder: In compliance with <a href=\"https:\/\/tennessee.edu\/coronavirus\/vaccines\/\">a requirement of the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees<\/a>, all employees must receive flu vaccine and document having done so by or before Dec. 14.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Free flu vaccinations will be available on campus over the next two weeks.
