The School of Nursing’s Priscilla Simms Roberson (brunette), assistant professor in graduate faculty,\u00a0 and Joanie Jackson, associate professor in graduate faculty, prepare snack bags for healthcare workers in nursing homes. The pair are members of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the second-largest nursing organization in the world with about 135,000 active members<\/p>\n

Assisted living facilities in Hamilton County are severely hit by COVID-19. In the county, there are 294 active cases for residents in the 16 homes, which house more than 1,600 people, according to the Times Free Press. Data published Nov. 25 from the Tennessee Department of Health show 207 cases among staff members, the paper says.<\/p>\n
