SockWell, the company that makes socks specifically designed to treat people with medical issues in the feet and and lower legs, will donate $1 from every specially-made sock sold to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Nursing.<\/p>\n

As part of SockWell\u2019s \u201cHonor Our Heroes\u201d campaign, the money will support the careers of aspiring nurses. A check for $1,650 recently was presented to the School of Nursing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s amazing to me. To be honest, I actually own three pairs of the socks before they made the donation, and I love the socks anyway and to get to see them give back to us and just keep locally, it\u2019s very amazing and heartfelt,\u201d said Angel Collier, associate director of UTC\u2019s School of Nursing.<\/p>\n

The donation will be used to buy additional personal protective equipment for students, she says.<\/p>\n
