{"id":38128,"date":"2021-09-02T12:00:05","date_gmt":"2021-09-02T16:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/news\/?p=38128"},"modified":"2021-09-17T15:24:02","modified_gmt":"2021-09-17T19:24:02","slug":"utc-school-of-nursing-is-among-tennessees-best","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/news\/2021\/09\/utc-school-of-nursing-is-among-tennessees-best\/","title":{"rendered":"UTC School of Nursing is among Tennessee\u2019s best"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"well span3 pull-right\">\n<p><strong>Review <em>Nursing Schools Almanac<\/em>&#8216;s rankings of all schools of nursing in Tennessee <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nursingschoolsalmanac.com\/rankings\/bsn\/tennessee\">here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>A national website has ranked the School of Nursing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga 4th among Tennessee\u2019s 29 public and private institutions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nursingschoolsalmanac.com\/\"><em>Nursing Schools Almanac<\/em><\/a> says its 2021 rankings of pre-licensure bachelor\u2019s degree programs are based on its \u201cextensive database of student performance on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses,\u201d or the NCLEX-RN exam, for first-time test takers over several years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have consistently achieved high rankings from entities that rate programs across the country, and we are honored to receive this accolade from\u00a0<em>Nursing Schools Almanac<\/em>\u00a0again,\u201d said UTC School of Nursing Director Chris Smith. \u201cWe agree that data from the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) on pass rates is a good benchmark for comparing the relative quality of bachelor\u2019s degree programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs for what makes our program one of Tennessee\u2019s very best, we believe that our excellence is directly correlated to the commitment of our faculty and students. Faculty desire to prepare the best practice-ready nurses is reflected in our pass rates.
