The performance will be on Tuesday, January 18th, at 7:30 p.m. in the UTC Cadek Recital Hall, 725 Oak Street, Chattanooga.<\/p>\n<p>The concert is presented free of charge and is open to the public.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Weeks\u2019 program for the evening features songs and arias by G.F. Handel, Franz Liszt, Richard Strauss, Roger Quilter, Kurt Weill, Ernesto De Curtis, Amy Beach, Gaetano Donizetti, and Giacomo Puccini.<\/p>\n<p>Weeks maintains an active performing schedule including opera, oratorio, and recitals while being a valued member of the applied faculty of the University of Louisville. In April 2009, he and Oliphant released their CD Women of Firsts through Centaur Records. This recording features Art Songs by Lili Boulanger (France), V\u00edt\u011bzslava Kapr\u00e1lov\u00e1 (Czech Republic), Gra\u017cyna Bacewicz (Poland), and Amy Beach (United States).<\/p>\n<p>Weeks has performed with numerous nationally recognized Symphony\u2019s and Operas. As a passionate advocate for Art Song and recitals, Weeks teaches the Vocal Literature seminars at the University of Louisville and draws from his considerable experience in the field of performance and research.<\/p>\n<p>Oliphant has earned an international reputation as a soloist and chamber musician in the U.S.A., Canada, and Europe. Her solo appearances include engagements with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra under Seiji Ozawa, the Louisville Orchestra, the Louisville Ballet, the Hamilton Philharmonic, and the Niagara Symphony. Since 1983, she has been pianist of The McHugh\u2010Oliphant Duo, Duo\u2010in\u2010Residence at the University of Louisville.
