The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Mocs softball team was sent off in style Wednesday afternoon, as a raucous crowd greeted coaches and staff outside McKenzie Arena before the team departed for the Tuscaloosa Regional of the NCAA Tournament.<\/p>\n

The Mocs earned an automatic bid to the tournament after a thrilling come-from-behind 9-7 victory over top-seeded UNC Greensboro in the Southern Conference Championship title game. In winning the 15th conference title in program history, the Mocs will make their 12th NCAA Tournament appearance.<\/p>\n

UTC will face the University of Alabama on Friday, May 20, at 4 p.m. ET. Other schools in the Tuscaloosa Regional include Stanford and Murray State.<\/p>\n
