Dr. Joe DiPietro enjoyed a TRIBUTE Employee Appreciation pizza party event before the Mocs basketball game against Wofford at the McKenzie Arena.<\/p>\n
TRIBUTE events are a way \u201cto thank faculty and staff for the work they do in our classrooms, laboratories, offices, and communities throughout the state.\u00a0 For me, they also are a welcome opportunity to meet and get to know more of our employees,\u201d DiPietro said.<\/p>\n
Employees each received a free ticket to the game.\u00a0 Some opted to bring the entire family and enjoy the game, where door prize drawings were announced during the event.<\/p>\n
Giveaways included one package for two tickets to the 2011 Southern Conference Basketball Tournament, held at the McKenzie Arena March 3-7; tickets to the Football Mocs home opener, a $25 gift certificate to Big River Grille, and other UTC merchandise.<\/p>\n
