The UTC Chamber Singers are featured on the Advent Calendar for the city of Coburg, Germany on December 6, 11, and 23.\u00a0 See and hear the Chamber Singers sing a different song each date online at www.coburg.de<\/a>.\u00a0 The website is written in German, but the music is in English.<\/p>\n

“One day will feature ‘Go Tell it on the Mountain’ by UTC Holmberg Professor of American Music Roland Carter,” said Dr. J. Kevin Ford, Director of Choral Activities and U.C. Foundation Associate Professor.\u00a0 “Another date will feature ‘Shout the Glad Tidings’ by American composer Ned Rorem and yet another date will feature the group singing ‘Bogoroditse Djevo’ (Ave Maria) by Estonian composer Arvo P\u00e4rt.\u00a0 The Chamber Singers do perform this last piece in Russian.”<\/p>\n

Also, several UTC students and UTC Music Professors Ronald Ulen and Dr. Rebecca St. Goar will perform at Second Presbyterian Church on Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24 at 5 p.m.\u00a0 They will be performing the Saint-Saens \u201cChristmas Oratorio.\u201d<\/p>\n
