{"id":49748,"date":"2023-04-14T09:47:45","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T13:47:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/news\/?p=49748"},"modified":"2023-04-14T09:58:40","modified_gmt":"2023-04-14T13:58:40","slug":"2023-technology-symposium-set-for-april-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/news\/2023\/04\/2023-technology-symposium-set-for-april-20\/","title":{"rendered":"2023 Technology Symposium set for April 20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2023 Technology Symposium, a community event organized by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga College of Engineering and Computer Science, will take place from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, at the Chattanooga Public Library (1001 Broad St.).<\/p>\n<p>The event is free and open to the general public.<\/p>\n<p>The 6th&nbsp;annual event, titled \u201cTechnology Imprints on our Lives,\u201d will showcase more than 120 community projects and undergraduate and graduate applied research projects from the students and faculty of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Chattanooga State Community College and Hamilton County Schools.<\/p>\n<p>The Technology Symposium also offers a platform for the greater Chattanooga community to engage with its academic institutions and the business sector on projects involving applied research and enable discussions on engineering, engineering technology and computer science.<\/p>\n<p>Opening ceremonies will commence at 9 a.m. with a talk by keynote speaker Jim Ingraham, vice president of strategic research at EPB.<\/p>\n<p>Research and projects will be displayed from 10 a.m.-noon and scored by a panel of judges.
