Dr. Scott Huelin will present “Readerly Hospitality” at the 2008 UTC Lecture in the Humanities on Friday, February 15, 4-6 p.m. in the Signal Mountain Room of the UTC University Center. The lecture is open to the public and there is no charge.<\/p>\n

Huelin teaches in the Honors College of Valparaiso University. He received a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and an MA in Comparative Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Ph.D. in Religion and Literature from the University of Chicago.<\/p>\n

His published essays have appeared in Literature and Theology, Religion & Literature, and the Journal of the National Council of Honors Colleges. He has just completed a book on the ethics of reading entitled The Reader’s Odyssey: A Hermeneutics of Hospitality<\/em>. His lecture at UTC will be based upon his latest book.<\/p>\n

Huelin’s presentation will be followed by questions and answers. Refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n
