In a partnership with TVA, IEEE and Omicron, the UTC Electrical Engineering Department will host a power transformer diagnostics workshop on June 22 -23 in the Benwood Auditorium in the UTC Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science Building. The event is free and open to the public. Advanced registration is required.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cParticipants will be introduced to the most modern and effective test techniques and practices to learn to diagnose basic issues and problems with transformers,\u201d Ulyana Pugina, Project Manager for the UTC Department of Electrical Engineering, said.<\/p>\n<p>The two-day event will include presentations by four instructors bringing different areas of technical expertise. The instructors will share their expertise in the area of diagnostic testing and analysis through presentation of actual field measurement and case studies.<\/p>\n<p>To register for the event, complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/news\/files\/2011\/06\/Transformer_Workshop_2011_TN_flyer.pdf\">.pdf form<\/a> and submit it by e-mail.\u00a0The registration form is designed as a &#8220;PDF Form Field&#8221; that can be filled out and submitted automatically. A confirmation e-mail will be sent by Omicron when the registration has been received.<\/p>\n<p>The event will also be live streamed on the UTC Electrical Engineering Department\u2019s website, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.utc.edu\/ee\">http:\/\/www.utc.edu\/ee<\/a>.
