Join WUTC for fantastic holiday specials from National Public Radio.\u00a0 Below is the December 25th schedule.<\/p>\n

7-8 a.m.\u00a0 \u201cSunday Morning Sunrise\u201d with Monessa Guilfoil<\/p>\n

8-10 a.m. \u201cWeekend Edition\u201d<\/p>\n

10-11 a.m.\u00a0 New!\u00a0 \u201cHanukkah Lights 2011\u201d\u2014Hanukkah Lights features Hanukkah stories and memoirs written by acclaimed authors specifically for the show, as read by NPR\u2019s Susan Stamberg and Murray Horowitz.<\/p>\n

11 a.m.- noon \u201cChristmas with Morehouse and Spelman Glee Clubs\u201d\u2014one of the great holiday traditions in America, the choirs of Morehouse and Spelman Colleges, two of the most prestigious historically black institutions in the nation, get together to present a spine-tingling concert program.\u00a0 This encore presentation features the best works of the last several years.\u00a0 It\u2019s a joyous celebration of the schools\u2019 tradition of singing excellence, with their trademark mixture of spirituals and carols.<\/p>\n

noon-1 p.m.\u00a0 \u201cTinsel Tales 2\u201d– NPR fills millions of homes each holiday with humor, warmth, and a host of festive voices.\u00a0 Continuing with the tradition of the first Tinsel Tales program, another collection of the best and most requested holiday stories.\u00a0 Joy, hope, and childhood memories overflow as NPR voices, past and present, tell stories of the holiday season.\u00a0 Hosted by Lynn Neary.<\/p>\n

1 -2 p.m.\u00a0 \u201cA Carolina Christmas from Biltmore Estate with Kathy Mattea\u201d–a Carolina Christmas features soloists and large ensembles performing a rich variety of songs,\u00a0 including sacred music of the season,\u00a0 African-American spirituals,\u00a0 Celtic jigs and folk favorites.\u00a0 Joining Mattea will be the choral ensemble VOX,\u00a0 as well as the Baroque\/Celtic trio The Beggar Boys.<\/p>\n

2-3 p.m.\u00a0 New! \u201cAll Songs Considered for the Holidays\u201d\u2014it\u2019s the third edition of the not so new, wonky holiday tradition from NPR music.\u00a0 Host Bob Boilen and friends trade holiday cheer and snarky barbs as they deliver the best holiday songs from new and emerging breakout bands.<\/p>\n

3-4 p.m.\u00a0 \u201cA Christmas Celtic Harvest\u201d hosted by Rabbit will feature traditional Celtic holiday songs and a few additional new tunes.<\/p>\n

4-5 p.m.\u00a0 \u201cA Christmas Jazz Party\u201d hosted by WUTC\u2019s Ken Dryden<\/p>\n

5-6 p.m.\u00a0 \u201cAll Things Considered Weekend Edition\u201d<\/p>\n

6-7 p.m.\u00a0 New!\u00a0 \u201cJazz Piano Christmas XXII\u201d NPR Music is onstage at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.\u00a0\u00a0 NEA Jazz master Barry Harris, Jason Moran, Eddie Palmieri, and up-and-comer Alfredo Rodriguez perform unique piano arrangements of their favorite holiday songs.<\/p>\n

7-8 p.m.\u00a0 New!\u00a0 \u201cKim Burrell\u2019s Jazz Gospel Holiday\u201d\u2014jazz at Lincoln Center Radio brings the spirit of the season.\u00a0 Burrell\u2019s ensemble includes Leon Lacy & Orchestra consisting of six background vocalists,\u00a0 a 13-piece orchestra and special guests.\u00a0 They offer soulful renditions of holiday classics including \u201cSilent Night,\u201d \u201cThe Most Wonderful Time of The Year,\u201d and \u201cLittle Drummer Boy.\u201d<\/p>\n
