The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering and Computer Science are teaming up to offer high school juniors and seniors\u2014and their families\u2014an immersive campus experience tailored to students interested in pursuing professional careers in health care, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and computer science.<\/p>\n

College Quest, taking place from 12:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18 (during Hamilton County Schools\u2019 fall break), offers prospective students a unique opportunity to explore their specific academic and professional interests far beyond the traditional campus tour\u2014including visits to lab spaces.<\/p>\n

Admission to College Quest is free and registration is required. To sign up, prospective students should\u00a0click here<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and create an account. An optional lunch will be available starting at 11:30 a.m. in the UTC University Center food court.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have specifically designed this event to give students a real glimpse into the day-to-day experiences of those pursuing careers in health care, engineering and the sciences,\u201d said Theresa Blackman, assistant director of pre-health student services at UTC. \u201cIt\u2019s a highly personalized experience for both students and their families\u2014one that sets UTC apart from other universities. For students who know they plan to go on to graduate and professional schools in pre-health areas, this event provides an in-depth introduction to the services and advantages that UTC provides.\u201d<\/p>\n
