ISDFS 2024<\/p><\/div>\n

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga continues to make significant strides on the global stage of cybersecurity and digital forensics by coordinating the 2025 International Symposium on Digital Forensics and Security (ISDFS), to be held this year at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.<\/p>\n

Since 2023, UTC has played a central role in organizing ISDFS in the United States. ISDFS is an esteemed annual academic event traditionally hosted by a different university each year. The symposium serves as a collaborative platform for researchers, scholars and professionals to present and discuss advancements in cybersecurity, digital forensics, big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, image processing, cryptography, software engineering and informatics.<\/p>\n

The 2023 conference, held at UTC, marked a significant milestone for the University. For the first time, UTC was listed in the IEEE database and papers accepted by ISDFS reviewers were published in IEEE Xplore\u2014the world\u2019s largest digital library for technical literature in engineering and technology. This achievement highlighted UTC\u2019s growing influence in the field and its commitment to fostering cutting-edge research.<\/p>\n

In 2024, ISDFS was hosted by Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. This year\u2019s event, hosted in Boston, continues under the coordination of UTC, reinforcing the University\u2019s leadership role in the international research community.<\/p>\n

Dr. Asaf Varol, a faculty member in the Department of Engineering Management and Technology at UTC and the general coordinator of ISDFS, noted the increasing prestige of the symposium.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe received a substantial number of paper submissions this year,\u201d Varol said. \u201cHowever, only about 50% were accepted, underscoring the symposium\u2019s growing reputation for academic excellence and rigorous peer review.\u201d<\/p>\n

Varol emphasized the global significance of the event, which has been held in various countries over the past 13 years. He highlighted that, due to coordinated efforts with UTC in 2023, ISDFS is now organized under the auspices of the IEEE Education Society\u2014an important development that further elevates the symposium\u2019s standing within the international academic and professional communities.<\/p>\n
