Held at The Westin Chattanooga, the event drew higher education professionals from across the state.<\/p>\n<p>Topics covered included AI\u2019s future impact on higher education, crisis communication during environmental disasters, student mental health, and marketing ROI in higher ed.<\/p>\n<p>The conference also featured the annual TCPRA Communication Awards, which recognized creative work produced by or on behalf of Tennessee higher education institutions or educational agencies.<\/p>\n<p>UTC took home a bronze award in the Video Advertisement category for its recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BOVa5vZb8RU\">Affordability Ad<\/a> that ran throughout the academic year on social media and YouTube channels. It is the first time UTC has earned an honor from this organization since 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The ad featured UTC student Nia Cid, who also provided the voiceover. It was produced by UTC\u2019s Office of Communications and Marketing staff, including Art Director Meghan Phillips, Senior Director of Marketing Sally Halloran, Executive Video Producer Mike Andrews, videographer Sam Blevins and marketing strategist\/copywriter Charlie Reed.<\/p>\n<p>OCM student videographer and communication major Will McCutcheon was awarded the $500 TCPRA Scholarship at the conference.
