<\/p>\nStaff, faculty, alumni and students sponsored 166 students and donated 376 presents in the UTC Student Alumni Council Angel Tree program.<\/p>\n
“It took five car loads to transport the gifts, worth an estimated value of nearly $5000,” said Patrick Miles, Assistant Director, UTC Alumni Affairs.\u00a0 “When we took our annual photo with the gifts, they covered the entire foyer of the Patten House. And when we got to the drop-off center, Marsha Boyd, the coordinator of this event for the Tennessee Department for Children Services, teared up when she saw the amount of gifts we brought. She told us that UTC is by far the largest single organization donor of gifts for this program.”<\/p>\n
