100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Civil engineering students study the \u201cconception, planning, design, construction, and operation of facilities essential to modern life,\u201d so their work with Habitat for Humanity is a way for members of the student chapter of ASCE to put their skills to practical use.<\/p>\n<p>Haley Robert, an undergraduate student and ASCE secretary, said the experience benefitted student volunteers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were able to use our skills as upcoming civil engineers to help Habitat for Humanity finish a home,\u201d Robert said.<\/p>\n<p>During their volunteer work, the students primed and painted a house.<\/p>\n<p>Robert felt this was a good experience and knows that the hard work of the students will benefit others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe felt the joy of being able to help a family in the Chattanooga area by beautifying a home that they will be able to live in,\u201d Robert said. \u201c[Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity] is very fulfilling and we would
