A child slave ring between Haiti and New York became the focus of a recent episode of \u201cLaw and Order\u201d on NBC, and soon this topic will be discussed on campus. On Thursday, January 22, Dr. Obi N. I. Ebbe will present \u201cGlobal Trafficking in Women and Children\u201d from 12:15-1:30 p.m. in the Raccoon Mountain Room of the UTC University Center.\u00a0 This event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
Ebbe, a professor of criminology and sociology, has published numerous articles on global trafficking.\u00a0 He is a consultant of the United Nations International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council in Transnational Crime, Terrorism, Corruption, and Human Trafficking.<\/p>\n
