The UTC Cress Gallery of Art presents two exhibitions of fresh, thoughtful, and relevant abstraction in its spaces for Spring 2009,\u00a0 paintings and drawings by Rob Nadeau (NYC); and paintings and project table by Jered Sprecher (UTKnoxville, TN).<\/p>\n

Exhibition dates for Nadeau\u2019s Primal Scene<\/em> and Sprecher\u2019s Drift<\/em> will be Tuesday, February 10 \u2013 Tuesday March 17.<\/p>\n

UTC John and Diane Marek Visiting Artist Series events will continue in February.
\nBoth artists will be on campus and in the community February 09 \u2013 12.\u00a0 These artists\u2019 lectures will be followed by an opening reception Tuesday, February 10, 5:30 -7 p.m., room 356 UTC Fine Arts Center.\u00a0 Plan to attend additional presentations by Marek Artists, open to the public with no admission charge:<\/p>\n

In Gallery II of the Cress, 2008-09 UTC Department of Art Feinstein Scholarship Recipients Tara Harris, 4th year BFA Painting and Drawing (graphic animation and stills) and Heidi Vasterling, 3rd year BFA Painting and Drawing (paintings and work on paper) will be available for public viewing.<\/p>\n

All exhibitions are supported by the \u201cUTC Friends of the Gallery\u201d contributor\u2019s fund.<\/p>\n

Gallery hours: 9:30am \u2013 7:00 pm Monday \u2013 Friday
\nThe Gallery will be open through intermission for all UTC Patten Series Performances; A special \u201csneak preview\u201d will be offered for the Patten Series Monday, February 9, as the gallery doors open at 6:30 pm. through intermission.<\/p>\n

The Cress Gallery is located in the lobby of the UTC Fine Arts Center (FAC) at the corner of Vine and Palmetto Streets. Admission to the Gallery and all events is free. Visitors to the Gallery may obtain a parking pass from the Facilities Building on Palmetto Street; parking is freely available in any University lot after 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
