the 2013 Baja Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International competition held at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.\u00a0<!--more--> <\/p>\n<p>It was the third and final 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to Emily Stark, student team leader, 90 teams competed in the event.\u00a0 UTC placed in the top 30 in maneuverability, acceleration, and the cost of building the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>College engineering students are encouraged to enter one of 12 different SAE Collegiate Design Competitions, \u201cevents that put classroom training into action by challenging students to design, build, and test the performance of a real vehicle in a competitive environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In April 2013, the UTC team scored a top ten finish at the Baja SAE International competition at Tennessee Tech.\u00a0 Cornell, University of Michigan, and Rochester Institute of Technology also placed in the top ten schools.<\/p>\n<p><a
