A crowd of faculty, staff, and students gathered in front of historic Founders Hall at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga to welcome Chancellor Steve Angle for his first day on the job.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As he emerged from his car, Angle heard the crowd cheering \u201cUTC\u201d and \u201cGo Mocs.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you so much.\u00a0 I really appreciate everyone turning out.\u00a0 WOW!\u201d he exclaimed.<\/p>\n
Angle has said he was drawn to UTC because of the opportunity to make a difference at a metropolitan university that\u2019s \u201cright downtown.\u00a0 It\u2019s not a university off isolated, it\u2019s part of the community.\u00a0 It will have a huge impact on the future of the region and Chattanooga.\u00a0 To see them grow together with excellence is an exciting opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n
