Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 registration processes have begun. It is important that your student is aware of crucial dates to avoid class cancellation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Crucial Dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Summer 2024 <\/p>\n\n\n\n Fall 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n ACH\/Direct Deposit is a secure option and the quickest method to receive a refund, if applicable. We continue to encourage students to set up the option via MyMocsNet account. Paper checks are mailed to the permanent address on file, which can take 5-10+ days via USPS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If the Tuition Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) was utilized for the Spring Semester, the final payment is due April 1. A late fee of $50 is applied on the 4th<\/sup> of the month if the scheduled payment is not received. Please note that an unpaid balance can affect future registrations. The office is open Monday \u2013 Friday from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Go Mocs!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Pro Bono Student-Faculty Physical Therapy Clinic is run by a physical therapist faculty member along with third year physical therapy doctoral students in the fall and first year physical therapy doctoral\u00a0students in the spring. We see patients with or without a prescription on a pro bono basis. First, we examine the patient and then assist them with determining an action plan to resolve functional limitations, decrease pain, or improve fitness. Our goals are to provide free and prompt care, through University Health Services, to people who would otherwise not seek it out due to finances or inconvenience (https:\/\/www.utc.edu\/enrollment-management-and-student-affairs\/university-health-services\/services<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is important to our campus community because it unites our program to the campus as a whole and provides connections for both parties. The Pro Bono clinic gives the students a chance to demonstrate their knowledge through evaluations, treatments, and home exercise programs which helps them to learn and grow from actual experiences. We treat diverse UTC students, faculty, and staff that help us learn and keep us engaged in what is going on at the university so we can best determine our role in bettering the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If your student is interested in these services please have them contact ptclinic@utc.edu<\/strong> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n Spring 2024 Move Out<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n UTC Housing and Residence Life Residence Halls close on Wednesday May 1 at 12 p.m.<\/strong> (EST).<\/strong> All residents must be checked out of their space by this time or 24 hours after their last final, unless they are graduating or transitioning to summer housing for summer school. Graduates need to be checked out by Sunday, May 5 at 12 p.m. (EST).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here is what your student needs to know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n RAs will be hosting mandatory closing meetings April 1-7, 2024. Flyers will be posted, and emails will be sent. This will tell your student how to check out properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All residents are required to complete the “Checkout Process” form through Manage My Housing<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Residents will turn in their room key to their complex office at check-out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Abandoned items will be discarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Student should reference procedures given to them by their Resident Assistant to ensure a proper check-out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Move out checklist:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please encourage your students to contact their RA or RD<\/a> with any questions or concerns. From roommate conflicts to maintenance issues, they are there to help. Please also have them check out the Housing Student Handbook<\/a> that contains information on how to live in our residence halls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n April ResLife Week Events<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Leadership Coaching Is Available!<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Leadership Coaching is a process between invested individuals who have the intent of progressing towards a desired future. We invite your student to explore one of our many tailored coaching options to identify personal skills that future internship hosts and employers are looking for; to identify way to further exemplify top leadership practices; to encourage calculated risk; and to see how to apply strengths-based leadership to any organizational challenges, career, habits, or relationships. Regardless of their academic major or year in school, this service is applicable to your student. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Is a family member or friend graduating in May? This survey, which UTC last administered in 2017, will be open until April 22nd<\/sup>. This is their opportunity to inform health and wellness efforts at UTC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The NCHA is a voluntary and confidential online survey. The NCHA takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete, and asks questions regarding health behaviors, attitudes, and experiences (covering topics from mental health, nutrition, sexual health, exercise, sleep, substance use, and more).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Center for Wellbeing devotes a significant amount of energy and resources to administering the NCHA because we rely heavily on the information gathered to create and prioritize our programming on campus.
