Season is changing and the holidays are just around the corner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We are still prepared to assist in the continued educational journey of your student(s)! Email should be checked regularly to avoid any oversight of important information via the student portal, MyMocsNet. It is suggested students provide access to parents, guardians, or others, by setting up the MyMocsPass Phase, through the MyMocsNet account, which also allows the Bursar Office Team to discuss specific account related information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n We continue to encourage students to set up ACH\/Direct Deposit for refunds through the student\u2019s MyMocsNet account. It is a vital step to ensure the funds expected can be delivered as quickly and securely as possible. Paper checks are mailed to the permanent address on file, which can take 5-10+ days via USPS. If assistance is needed on adding the refund account information, please go to www.utc.edu\/bursar<\/a>,<\/strong> click the \u201cVideo Instructions\u201d tab in the middle of the page and click on the video titled \u201cBursar Series: Direct Deposit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If the Tuition Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) was utilized for the Fall Semester, the second payment is due on October 1 and the final payment will be due on November 1. Time has flown by!<\/p>\n\n\n\n As we strive to continually enhance the student experience, we are reaching out to request your valuable feedback on your move in experience. Resources can be found on the Library\u2019s Celebrating Hispanic Heritage<\/a><\/strong> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Graduation Applications Due<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Is your student planning to graduate in May or August 2024? Did you know they need to apply to graduate?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Students who apply by October 15 for May or August 2024<\/strong> graduation and are approved as graduation candidates will have access to registration on November 8, 2023 – the first morning of currently enrolled student registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If your students is completing degree requirements in August 2024,<\/strong> they will need to submit a graduation application for the Summer 2024<\/strong> term. Students who are completing degree requirements in Summer 2024 <\/strong>but want to participate in the May graduation ceremony must request to participate<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n If your student is unsure how to apply, visit the graduation website here<\/strong><\/a> and click \u201cHow to Apply\u201d for easy-to-follow instructions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n UT Student Experience Survey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This survey is administered to all 54,000 students across the UT system to collect information about the student experience. The Student Experience Survey opens on October 1, and we need everyone\u2019s help to encourage our students to complete the survey. Our student feedback informs us about the MOCS experience and helps us identify opportunities for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Encourage your student to take this short survey to share feedback and lead real change on campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Important changes are on the horizon for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. The FAFSA application will now become accessible Jan. 1, 2024, a departure from the customary opening date of Oct. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The changes come after the passage of the FAFSA Simplification Act, which \u201crepresents a significant overhaul of the processes and systems used to award federal student aid starting with the 2024-25 award year,\u201d according to the U.S. Education Department\u2019s FAFSA website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To apply for federal student aid, such as federal grants, work-study funds and loans, students need to complete the FAFSA form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n UTC Homecoming<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We are excited to bring students, alumni, faculty, staff and the community from across the galaxy together to showcase UTC spirit! Encourage your student to check out the calendar and attend some of these stellar events! <\/p>\n\n\n\n UTC Homecoming 2023 Calendar <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n UTC\u2019s bi-annual Bloodanooga Blood Drive, in collaboration with Blood Assurance, is taking place Oct. 10-11 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. in the University Center Tennessee Room. A single blood donation will save three lives in our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Blood donors will receive free food and a special event T-shirt. As an extra incentive, all donors will be entered into a drawing to win a turntable sound system and vinyl starter pack.
