We are seeking to gather information about faculty interests and preferences to help us plan for a site visit and other potential activities in 2024. Any UTC faculty member or researcher is eligible to participate. Please take a few moments to complete the brief survey&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tennessee.infoready4.com\/#competitionDetail\/1916282\">here<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>to help us schedule activities of interest to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clarification on&nbsp;<strong>NSF reporting deadlines:&nbsp;<\/strong>Please note that annual reports are due 90 days before the end of the budget period and final reports are due 120 days after the award end date.&nbsp;Your report will be flagged as&nbsp;<strong>OVERDUE<\/strong>&nbsp;the day after the 90- or 120-day period ends if it has not been submitted<strong>&nbsp;<u>AND<\/u>&nbsp;approved by the PO<\/strong>.&nbsp;This means that if wait until the end of the due date window to submit your report, it is highly likely that the PO will not approve it that same day and as a result, the report will be flagged as&nbsp;overdue. To ensure that the PO has time to review and approve your report, you are strongly encouraged to submit your report&nbsp;no later than 60 days&nbsp;prior to the end of the due date window. See more&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teaglefoundation.org\/Call-for-Proposals\/RFPs\/Education-for-American-Civic-Life-RFP#subsection-criteria_for_project_proposals\">here<\/a><\/strong>. This applies at both the proposal and reporting stages. NIH has provided a handy breakdown\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.niaid.nih.gov\/grants-contracts\/dont-overlook-three-types-overlap\">here<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0of the three types of overlap you should report: scientific overlap, budgetary overlap, and commitment overlap. While the discussion is focused on NIH, the guidance can be generally applied to other federal sponsors.
