The event will be held in the UTC Library Room 435 from 12:30 \u2013 2pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Friday,<strong>&nbsp;October 22, 2023<\/strong>&nbsp;will be the last day that the NSF fillable PDF format for the biosketch and current and pending support can be uploaded and submitted in research.gov. For proposals due October 23, 2023 or after, investigators must use&nbsp;<strong>SciENcv<\/strong>&nbsp;to prepare the biosketch and CPS forms. Having trouble getting set up in SciENcv? You can also schedule a consultation with a grant specialist&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/outlook.office365.com\/owa\/calendar\/UTCORSPFacultyConsultations@live.utk.edu\/bookings\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>NSF has updated their&nbsp;<strong>Public Access Repository (NSF-PAR)<\/strong>&nbsp;system with a new, streamlined submission workflow enabling NSF award recipients to add and manage journal articles, conference papers, conference proceedings, datasets, and workshop reports as separate and distinct products, and allowing products with a digital object identifier (DOI) from Crossref.org or DataCite.org to integrate seamlessly into the NSF-PAR. Read more about the available data&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/news\/special_reports\/neon\/data\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>National Survey of Children\u2019s Health (NSCH)&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>has released the 2022 dataset, with a broader range of data. NSCH&nbsp;<\/strong>is the largest national- and state\u2010level survey on the health and well\u2010being of children, their families, and their communities. We are seeking to gather information about faculty interests and preferences to help us plan for a site visit and other potential activities in 2024. The full DCL is available&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/pubs\/2023\/nsf23160\/nsf23160.jsp\">here<\/a><\/strong>. &nbsp;Prior PO-approval is required to submit a proposal. To be considered for 2023 funding, proposals must be submitted by&nbsp;<strong>December 7, 2023<\/strong>.&nbsp;Please notify ORSP by&nbsp;<strong>November 1<\/strong>&nbsp;if you are interested in applying to this DCL. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>NSF has released an updated solicitation for the&nbsp;<strong>Ethical and Responsible Research<\/strong>&nbsp;(ER2) program. Research questions of interest are defined in the solicitation&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/new.nsf.gov\/funding\/opportunities\/ethical-responsible-research-er2\">here<\/a><\/strong>. An individual may participate in no more than two proposals to this solicitation. The next deadline is&nbsp;<strong>January 25, 2024<\/strong>.&nbsp;Please notify ORSP by&nbsp;<strong>November 1<\/strong>&nbsp;if you are interested in submitting a proposal. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>DOE Office of Science<\/strong>&nbsp;has extended the deadline for its open&nbsp;<strong>FOA<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>September 30, 2024<\/strong>. Fundamental research proposals in the following areas will be accepted: Advanced Scientific Computing Research, Basic Energy Sciences, Biological and Environmental Research, Fusion Energy Sciences, High Energy Physics, Nuclear Physics, Isotope R&amp;D and Production, and Accelerator R&amp;D and Production. A Pre-Application is optional, but encouraged.
