Please see the list of announcements, funding opportunities, and resources below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Announcements<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This Friday,&nbsp;<strong>August 25<\/strong>, the UTC Research Institute will be hosting a Brown Bag Lunch to discuss the upcoming&nbsp;<strong>FY24-25 CEACSE competition<\/strong>.&nbsp;Come learn what\u2019s new about the program and connect with researchers across campus. The Brown Bag Lunch will be held in UTC Library Room 435 from&nbsp;11:30am \u2013 1:30 pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On&nbsp;<strong>September 21-22<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>UTC will be hosting a UT-wide colloquium for Research Administration personnel. Please expect delayed response times during the event. ORSP and ORI will be working intermittently while we connect with our inter-campus colleagues.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In case you missed it &#8211;&nbsp;<strong>Welcome, new faculty!<\/strong>&nbsp;ORSP looks forward to working with you. The research priorities include Health Professional Education and Training; Pain Management and Evidence Standards; Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery; and Telehealth for SUD and Chronic Pain Management. Projects must take a broad, interdisciplinary approach to infectious disease transmission dynamics. Eligibility limitations apply. Review the full solicitation&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/new.nsf.gov\/funding\/opportunities\/ecology-evolution-infectious-diseases-eeid\">here<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>for more details. Proposals are due&nbsp;<strong>November 15, 2023<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>NSF has released a new program entitled&nbsp;<strong>EMpowering BRoader Academic Capacity and Education (EMBRACE)<\/strong>. The program solicits proposals from faculty in GEO-related disciplines at non-R1 institutions (like UTC) to initiate research\/education programs and collect preliminary data (Seed proposals) or to establish independent GEO-related research programs (Growth proposals). An individual may participate as PI or Co-PI on no more than two proposals per competition. The full solicitation is available&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/new.nsf.gov\/funding\/opportunities\/empowering-broader-academic-capacity-education\">here<\/a><\/strong>. Proposals may be submitted to two target dates:&nbsp;<strong>November 20, 2023<\/strong>&nbsp;or May 15, 2024. &nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ORSP is accepting Notices of Intent for two limited submission programs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>FY24 NEA Grants for Arts Projects<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Read more about the program&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arts.gov\/grants\/grants-for-arts-projects\/program-description\">here<\/a><\/strong>. UTC is limited to&nbsp;1 proposal per year. If you are interested in being considered for selection for the 2024 competition, you must submit an NOI via InfoReady by no later than&nbsp;<strong>Friday, September 8<\/strong>. Click&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tennessee.infoready4.com\/#competitionDetail\/1852617\">here<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;to review the requirements and submit an NOI.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>NSF AI Research Institutes&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 Institutes must advance foundational AI research, conduct use-inspired research, incorporate multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to workforce development.
