Join the National Science Foundation for the Spring 2023 NSF Virtual Grants Conference<\/strong>, to be held during the week of June 5, 2023. The conference is encouraged for all faculty but is especially helpful for faculty who are new to NSF. Registration will open on Wednesday, <\/strong>May 10 at 12PM ET<\/strong>. Funding Opportunities<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW \u2013 TVA Connected Communities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TVA Connected Communities pilot grant program is designed to support pilot projects in communities that will improve their access to digital services, create a healthy natural and built environment, scale economic opportunities or help them prepare for natural disasters or cyber threats. Projects must help communities gain expertise and test approaches that will jump-start their progress towards goals in two or more of those focus areas. The maximum award request is $750,000 and a match of at least 30% is required<\/strong>. UTC may submit multiple proposals but is limited to receiving only one award.<\/strong> Click here<\/a><\/strong> to review the program requirements and resources. Interested PIs can view a list of potential communities willing to host projects via the application portal. Please notify ORSP by May 1<\/strong> if you intend to apply. Applications are due to TVA by June 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

REMINDER – Tennessee Arts Commission Arts Build Communities NOI<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Arts Build Communities (ABC) grant program is designed to provide support for arts projects that broaden access to arts experiences, address community quality of life issues through the arts, or enhance the sustainability of asset-based cultural enterprises. Projects must involve a broad audience and cannot be primarily for the benefit of students or campus at large. The maximum award request is $5,000, and a dollar-for-dollar match is required. <\/strong>UTC is limited to 1 proposal per competition deadline. To be considered for nomination, you must submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) in InfoReady Review by April 19<\/strong>. If we receive more than one NOI, an internal competition will be held to fill the nomination slot. Click here<\/strong><\/a> to preview the NOI requirements and apply by April 19. Note that initial conversations with appropriate administrators on the source of the 1:1 cost share are required<\/strong> at the NOI stage.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

REMINDER \u2013 NEH Summer Stipends NOI<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NEH Summer Stipends program is an individual fellowship that provides stipends of $6,000 to support two consecutive, uninterrupted months of full\u2010time study or research in the humanities. The full solicitation, including a list of allowable and unallowable activities, and links to recorded webinars are available at https:\/\/www.neh.gov\/grants\/research\/summer-stipends<\/a>. There are two pathways for submission depending on your appointment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
