A list of upcoming opportunities is available\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nnlm.gov\/training\/schedule\">here<\/a>. Registration is limited, so be sure to sign up early to save your seat. Please let ORSP know&nbsp;<strong>by April 25<\/strong>&nbsp;if you are planning to submit to the June deadline. Additional R15 deadlines are October 25 and February 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>NEH&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.neh.gov\/program\/humanities-initiatives-colleges-and-universities\">Humanities Initiatives at Colleges &amp; Universities<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 due&nbsp;May 9, 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Projects should develop new or enhance existing humanities programs, resources, or courses that explore, interpret, and preserve the diversity of human cultures, ideas, and practices, past and present. Proposals may be large or small in scale but must address a core topic or set of themes drawn from humanities areas such as history, philosophy, religion, literature, or humanities-informed composition and writing skills.&nbsp;Please let ORSP know&nbsp;<strong>by April 10<\/strong>&nbsp;if you\u2019re interested in applying to this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>NEH&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.neh.gov\/grants\/public\/digital-projects-the-public\">Digital Projects for the Public<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 due&nbsp;June 14, 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The program supports projects that interpret and analyze humanities content in primarily digital platforms and formats, such as websites, mobile applications and tours, interactive touch screens and kiosks, games, and virtual environments.&nbsp;All projects should demonstrate the potential to attract a broad, general, nonspecialist audience, either online or in person. Please let ORSP know&nbsp;<strong>by April 10<\/strong>&nbsp;if you\u2019re interested in applying to this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>NEH&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.neh.gov\/grants\/education\/dialogues-the-experience-war\">Dialogues on the Experience of War<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 due&nbsp;September 7, 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This program supports the study and discussion of humanities sources that encourage veterans and civilians to reflect collectively on such topics as civic engagement, veteran identity, the legacies of war, service, and homecoming. Project teams should include humanities scholars, military veterans, and individuals with relevant experience. Projects may involve students but must be public-facing. The next NOFO is expected to be released in June 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Sponsored Projects Policy Spotlight<\/u><\/strong><strong><u><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sponsored Projects\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/policy.tennessee.edu\/policy\/fi0206-sponsored-projects-distinguishing-direct-vs-indirect-costs\/\">Policy FI0206<\/a>\u00a0lays out the policies for distinguishing between \u201cdirect\u201d and \u201cindirect\u201d costs for federal and non-federal sponsors.
