Archives of previous updates are available on ORSP\u2019s&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogarchive.utc.edu\/research-sponsored-programs\/?_gl=1*13j6jni*_gcl_au*MjEyMjAwODQ3NS4xNzA0MzcyODk2\">blog<\/a><\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>General Announcements&nbsp;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ORSP\u2019s last day of operations is this Friday (<strong>December 20<\/strong>). We\u2019ll reopen with campus on January 2. We wish you all a happy holiday season and look forward to working with you in the new year!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>With the transition to DASH Financial in January, the UT System has established&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/raven-stats.utc.edu\/trk\/click?ref=z16dk4v08c_0-11a_0x3ca5x0893\">negotiated fringe benefits rates<\/a>&nbsp;(similar to how we have a negotiated indirect cost rate). In the DASH financial system, fringe benefits will be charged to active sponsored project awards based on these negotiated rates. In anticipation of this change, ORSP has begun budgeting for sponsored project proposals using these negotiated fringe rates. FAQs are available on ORSP\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/raven-stats.utc.edu\/trk\/click?ref=z16dk4v08c_0-11a_0x3ca6x0893\">budgeting webpage<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Sponsor Announcements&nbsp;<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As federal agencies move forward with the adoption of the common forms for the biosketch and CPS, some agencies, such as NIH, will start requiring investigators to have an ORCID. Learn more about the requirement and NIH\u2019s timetable for enforcement&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.niaid.nih.gov\/grants-contracts\/create-orcid-account-preparation-biosketch-transition\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>NIH has reissued the R15&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/grants.nih.gov\/grants\/guide\/pa-files\/PAR-25-134.html\">AREA<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/grants.nih.gov\/grants\/guide\/pa-files\/PAR-25-298.html\">REAP<\/a>&nbsp;programs (see below).
