The following UTC Faculty and Staff have attracted $1,027,676<\/strong> in external grant and contract awards for July 2017:<\/em><\/p>\n

Mr. John Freeze and Mr. Jeffrey Gran<\/strong>t (Continuing Education) have received $32,620 from the UT Institute of Public Service for the project entitled, “Southeastern Command and Leadership Academy (SECLA).”<\/p>\n

Mr. Craig Hamilton<\/strong> (Campus Law Enforcement), Ms. Stephanie Rowland (Office of the Chancellor), Ms. Sara Peters (Women\u2019s Center), and Dr. Helen Eigenberg (Social, Cultural, and Justice Studies) have received $60,000 from the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs for the project entitled, “Making our Campus Safer (MOCS).”<\/p>\n

Dr. Linda Hill<\/strong> (Nursing) has received $18,267 from the Health Resources and Services Administration for the project entitled, “Nurse Anesthesia Traineeship Grant.”<\/p>\n

Dr. David Levine<\/strong> (Physical Therapy) has received $2,978 from the Goodhew for the project entitled, “Effectiveness of Sockwell Compression Socks: A White Paper on Vascular Effects.”<\/p>\n

Dr. Deborah McAllister<\/strong> (School of Education) has received $1,900 from the for the project entitled, “GLOBE Aerosols for Elementary Pre-service Teachers.”<\/p>\n

Ms. Laurie Melnik and Ms. Michele Mummert<\/strong> (Southeast Center for Education) have received $8,000 from the Tennessee Arts Commission for the project entitled, “Arts Learning Lab.”<\/p>\n

Dr. Christine Smith and Ms. Robyn Tobias<\/strong> (Nursing) have requested and received $190,394 from the Erlanger Health System for the project entitled, “RN to BSN Gateway Program.”<\/p>\n

Drs. Christine Smith, Joanie Jackson, and Jenny Holcombe<\/strong> (Nursing) have received $689,017 from the Health Resources and Services Administration for the project entitled, “FNP CANDL: Clinical-Academic Network for Developing Leaders.”<\/p>\n

The following UTC faculty and staff members submitted proposals with the potential to generate over $1,151,172 in external funding, if awarded:<\/em><\/p>\n

Dr. Daniel Loveless<\/strong> (Engineering Electrical) has requested $500,000 from the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “CAREER: Maximizing Performance and Reliability of Advanced Electronics Technologies through Stochastic Modeling.”<\/p>\n

Dr. Nikolasa Tejero<\/strong> (Music) has requested $2,500 from the Tennessee Arts Commission for the project entitled, “Celebrating African American History Month Through Music and Literature: An Interdisciplinary Concert.”<\/p>\n

Dr. Jin Wang<\/strong> (Mathematics) has requested $40,480 from Old Dominion University for the project entitled, “Mathematical modeling of cholera dynamics.”<\/p>\n

Dr. Gary Wilkerson<\/strong> (Health & Human Performance) has submitted a preliminary proposal to the Department of Defense for the project entitled, “Preliminary Proposal: Optimization of Neuromechanical Responsiveness.”<\/p>\n

Drs. Gary Wilkerson, Marisa Colston, Carrie Baker, and Shellie Acocello<\/strong> (Health & Human Performance) have requested $417,798 from the National Institutes of Health for the project entitled, “A New Paradigm for Sport Injury Prevention and Reduction of Risk for Disability.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
